The Draught of the Spellweaver is a rare magical preparation used by spellcasters who must continue working after prolonged or unusually demanding use of magic. It does not increase a caster’s ultimate power or provide knowledge of magic they do not already possess. Instead, it accelerates the recovery of the relationships through which the caster works with The Confluence.
Repeated spellcasting places temporary strain upon those relationships. A caster may still understand a working perfectly while lacking the settled resonance needed to shape demanding magic safely and reliably. Under ordinary circumstances, rest allows those patterns to recover as the caster’s own magical habits settle again into the interaction between Amundala’s stability and Phaethos’s possibility.
A properly prepared Draught of the Spellweaver hastens that process. Its enchantment briefly reinforces stable patterns while allowing enough controlled variation for strained relationships to re-form rather than simply locking them in place. The result can restore a substantial portion of a spellcaster’s working capacity far sooner than ordinary recovery would permit.
The draught does not bypass the Confluence or grant access beyond the lunar anchors. Its usefulness comes from restoring the caster’s existing relationship with magic more quickly, which also limits what it can accomplish for someone who lacks the training or capability to perform a particular working in the first place.
