Origin: Caelra
Planar Nature: Fey
Game Rules: Use standard Centaur ancestry rules
Centaurs are a fey people native to Caelra. Their four-legged bodies and humanoid upper forms make them one of the more immediately recognizable Caelran peoples in mortal art and planar accounts. Centaur civilizations have existed across the Realm of Impulse for ages and include communities adapted to open country, forests, settled territories, and other environments.
Movement has practical importance in many centaur societies, particularly where communities occupy broad territories or maintain routes through landscapes that respond strongly to repeated travel. Ancient roads, seasonal circuits, hunting grounds, pilgrimage routes, and territorial boundaries can acquire unusually durable relationships within Caelra when generations continue to use them with the same purpose. Other centaur communities are strongly settled and organize their lives around towns, fortified sites, cultivated land, or neighboring Caelran states.
Beyond Caelra
Centaurs have crossed between Caelra and Kor Sirok through planar routes for much of mortal history. Some appear only as travelers or visitors, while others have established permanent communities on Kor Sirok or become part of mixed settlements. They remain uncommon in most large mortal societies, partly because buildings, roads, ships, and other infrastructure designed primarily for bipedal inhabitants can require substantial accommodation.
The Sundering reduced the ease of planar travel without ending contact with Caelra. Centaurs encountered on Kor Sirok may therefore descend from families established there for generations or may have arrived more recently through surviving Crossings and Vergeways.
