The Truehelm Institute of Cartography is a cartographic company and professional guild founded by Zackon Truehelm in Elgaard in 8762 SE. Truehelm established the Institute after retiring from the Brass Blades, building on the reputation he had earned as one of the most prolific and talented mapmakers of the 88th century SE.
The Institute produces maps for travelers, merchants, governments, adventurers, and other clients while also serving as a professional association for the cartographers working through it. Its reputation rests primarily on the quality and detail of its work rather than on political influence or a large institutional role in the world.
From its original Elgaard office, the Institute expanded to additional locations, including a presence in Arkrist. By the late 88th century SE, Truehelm maps were widely regarded as among the finest produced anywhere on Kor Sirok.
