Quorlinn was one of the original Fifteen who founded Vhar Qharath and is remembered in surviving Qhalleessean material as the foremost leader among them. Like the other founders, Quorlinn encountered the natural phenomenon that first allowed the Fifteen to reach raw magical possibility directly, gained extraordinary longevity from the magical transformations that followed, and participated in the destruction of that phenomenon after the founders had secured their own power.
Leadership among the Fifteen
Later Qhalleessean tradition placed Quorlinn in the leading position among the Fifteen, but the exact institutional meaning of that status is no longer clear. Vhar Qharath was simultaneously a governing council, an expanding magical order, and eventually the state itself, and surviving records do not establish whether Quorlinn held a formal office equivalent to a monarch or simply exercised the greatest influence among peers who remained individually powerful.
Whatever the mechanism, Quorlinn’s prominence mattered in a civilization where the Fifteen endured across generations and were treated increasingly as living saints as well as rulers. Public images, state education, ceremonies, and ancestral traditions placed the founders near the center of Qhaerathi civic identity, and Quorlinn was remembered as the most prominent political figure within that group.
Surviving Record
Very little reliable information about Quorlinn’s individual policies, magical specialties, or fate has survived the Twilight War and the collapse of the Qhalleess Empire. The name remains one of only five members of the original Fifteen recovered by modern scholarship, alongside Tarrasha, Zorvah, Elyssan, and Myxara.
Quorlinn’s surviving reputation therefore conveys importance without supplying a detailed biography. Modern scholars can identify a founder who stood foremost among the rulers of the ancient empire, but the events that produced that reputation and the decisions through which it was exercised remain largely lost.
