Zurok was a half-orc warrior trained in both martial and arcane disciplines who served as a lieutenant in the Brass Blades under Davrek Valzorwyn. After the Harrowing, Davrek founded the Aegis Regnum to guard Kor Sirok against future incursions connected to the Nascent Expanse, but chose not to divide his attention between leadership of the Blades and command of the new order.
Zurok left the Brass Blades to become the first Grandmaster of the Aegis Regnum. His appointment gave the new organization a leader with experience in both martial command and arcane magic while allowing the Aegis to establish an identity separate from the mercenary company that had helped create it. Davrek remained involved as an adviser and collaborator, but Zurok held the authority of Grandmaster.
Later leadership of the Aegis is not yet established in surviving general accounts, and Zurok should not be assumed to remain Grandmaster in 8813 SE without further evidence.
