The Bay of Bryn is a major coastal bay on Inis Faerna, named for Brynjolf Erobreren, the founder of Asnorland. The capital city of Vrungend stands on the bay’s western shore, where Brynjolf’s followers established one of the earliest durable Asnor settlements in the Skyre Islands.
The bay’s sheltered waters helped make Vrungend a practical center for shipping, fishing, defense, and communication with the other islands. Its association with Brynjolf also gives it historical importance beyond ordinary geography: the place where the first Asnor foothold endured became the center from which settlement spread to the other islands and later the seat of the Stadtholder.
