Inis Nuadha is a major island in the southern-central Skyre Islands, lying immediately north of Inis Faerna. Compared with the more mountainous islands to the south and north, much of its mapped terrain is lower and more open, with river valleys crossing the island toward several coasts. Its position makes it an important link between the large southern islands and the denser central cluster.
The island is one of the Thegndoms of Asnorland and is also associated with Cain Feme of the Skyre Folk. As elsewhere in the archipelago, these political relationships overlap rather than dividing the island into perfectly separate territories. Asnor settlement is concentrated around established towns and coastlines, while Skyre communities retain their own traditional lands and patterns of movement.
Inis Nuadha played an important role in the Asnor Succession War of 8723 SE. Forces from the island joined the coalition that opposed Ulrik Lindvig, and contemporary accounts particularly noted their disciplined troops. The same crisis led local authorities to support the permanent College Arcanum academy at Bregentved, beginning a gradual change in Asnor attitudes toward formal arcane education.
Established settlements include Bregentved on the western coast, together with Eslund, Lidviken, and Porsland.
