Ironhold is an important mining settlement in Tadrium and one of the communities associated with the kingdom’s substantial iron industry. Ore extracted around Ironhold feeds the wider network of smiths, workshops, military suppliers, builders, and merchants that makes iron one of Tadrium’s most strategically important resources.
The settlement’s significance is therefore larger than its local population alone would suggest. Tadrian weapons, armor, tools, fittings, construction materials, and export goods all depend upon dependable access to metal, and mining centers such as Ironhold form the first stage of that supply chain. The crown and great noble houses consequently have strong interests in keeping the routes between the mines and the kingdom’s larger markets secure and usable.
