Bugbears are one of the less numerous peoples of Kor Sirok. Their oldest communities are commonly found in wooded uplands, isolated valleys, difficult borderlands, and other regions where settlement is sparse. Small Bugbear populations also live in mixed towns and cities, particularly along old trade and military routes.
Many rural Bugbear communities remain organized around extended families, local alliances, and control of familiar territory. Their settlements tend to be small, and neighboring communities may go long periods with little contact when geography makes travel difficult.
Bugbears are closely related to Goblins and Hobgoblins. Where the three peoples live near one another, their local histories are often deeply intertwined.
