Hobgoblins are a relatively uncommon people found in small populations across Kor Sirok. Long-established communities are most often found in defensible uplands, forest margins, and frontier regions, although Hobgoblin families also live in mixed settlements and larger cities.

A number of older Hobgoblin settlements developed strong traditions of organized defense, public obligation, and communal readiness. Fortified villages, watch systems, militia service, and carefully maintained roads or walls are common features where those traditions remain strong. Other Hobgoblin communities have been incorporated into surrounding states and follow the institutions of those regions.

Hobgoblins are closely related to Goblins and Bugbears. Their histories often intersect in frontier regions where communities of all three peoples have traded, fought, migrated, and formed alliances over long periods.
