The Dancing Hut is the extraordinary home of Baba Yaga, the ancient figure known as the Queen of Hags. It is most often associated with Caelra, but it is not permanently fixed to one location. The hut can appear in other places or realities by means that remain poorly understood, and deliberate attempts to reach it may require unusual rituals or other exceptional forms of access.
Its interior does not obey the ordinary spatial expectations suggested by its exterior. Rooms can extend far beyond the apparent dimensions of the structure, and the relationships among chambers do not necessarily correspond to normal architecture. Visitors may pass through long sequences of spaces without gaining any reliable sense of where they are relative to the hut’s entrance or to the world outside.
The best documented modern expedition into the Dancing Hut occurred in the early 8750s SE, when Rof Riverflame helped the Brass Blades identify a ritual capable of reaching it. The Blades traveled through what they described as seemingly endless rooms before finally reaching Baba Yaga herself. Their encounter produced both extraordinary rewards and severe consequences: Tusky obtained the means to restore the damaged mind of Fenro, while Abendigo acquired an object that opened a passage into Morgrom and advanced his search for temporal knowledge.
No reliable account explains the mechanism by which the hut relocates, whether every appearance is initiated by Baba Yaga, or how its interior is related to the places in which its exterior manifests. Attempts to reduce the Dancing Hut to a conventional planar route or a single known form of spatial magic have therefore remained speculative.
