Monika Heide kept the Sawn Log Inn in Trinswood during the period when the Brass Blades were rebuilding after their near-destruction in 8751 SE. She maintained the inn as a welcoming local gathering place, keeping travelers and regulars well fed and readily joining conversation with the people who passed through its common room. The Sawn Log also served as a community meeting place for Trinswood rather than functioning only as lodging for travelers.
Monika was particularly known for the inn’s hearty food, including a vegetable stew remembered as a favorite on cold evenings and among traveling Dantari. The surviving material does not establish her earlier life or later fate, and her significance remains local to Trinswood and the Brass Blades’ recovery there.
