The Sawn Log was a warm, but not lavish space. Monika Heide kept her guests well fed and was happy to chat with regulars. The inn served as a community anchor for Trinswood. It was a place where everyone was welcome and often the location of planned events for the town. There were a number of rooms available for travelers, but Trinswood wasn’t a particularly popular place for tourists so they frequently went unused. A warm stone hearth sat at the center of the common room.
Abendigo accidentally burned down the inn in the year 8751 SE. The Brass Blades then needed to gather the coin required to pay for its reconstruction. It was rebuilt later that year. Additional water storage was added.
Most of the meals served at the inn were hearty and filling. For those that required it, they had a wonderful selection of vegetables. Monika made a hearty vegetable stew that was especially popular on colder evening or with travelling Dantari adventurers.
The inn was built almost entirely from wood. After burning down due to an unfortunate flaming sphere incident, it was rebuilt from locally sourced wood. They keep lots of water on hand now to deal with the very well understood risk.
