Squall’s End is a small settlement on the eastern coast of the Drakefire Peninsula. The town faces rough weather directly from the sea, and storms, heavy rain, and high surf are ordinary parts of life there. Its harbor is useful to coastal traffic but does not possess the scale or protection of Arkrist’s great port.
The settlement supports a modest collection of local shops and services rather than a large commercial district. During the Drakefire campaign, one of the more memorable businesses was the cluttered thrift shop operated by Old Man Jeezee, where travelers could buy basic adventuring supplies and odd secondhand goods.
The countryside outside Squall’s End is sparsely settled. Cassava farms lie to the west, while cliffs northwest of town contain an ancient Cliffside Temple whose builders possessed sophisticated magical and mechanical knowledge. The site’s age and construction suggest that the coast held important settlements or installations long before the modern town existed.
