The Fist of Beskatel was a large manned construct built by Nicomachus Ruanar for the defense of Entwood during the attack of the Grand Army of the Djozanates in 8752 SE. Nicomachus developed the machine, and after the Brass Blades returned from their search for Shriekstone with less of the material than his original defensive plans required, he decided that it was the best option for the defense of the city.
The construct was designed to be operated from within rather than acting as an independent automaton. During the defense of Entwood, Tusky and Darieth crewed the Fist while other members of the Brass Blades supported the city’s defenders elsewhere.
The Fist was an emergency weapon produced by an unusually capable inventor under wartime conditions. Its successful use did not lead to the widespread adoption of similar machines, and surviving accounts do not establish that Entwood possessed the resources or expertise to reproduce such constructs at scale.
