Scylla is the eldest and lore keeper of the Dragonborn clan at Phalygos. She preserves the community’s stories, teaches younger generations the history and traditions of the clan, and reminds established adults of inherited responsibilities when custom or memory becomes relevant to a dispute or decision. Her position is based on preserved knowledge and communal respect rather than command over the village’s defenders or ordinary daily affairs.
Among the histories Scylla teaches are the clan’s experiences during the Harrowing, when Phalygos avoided some of the catastrophe’s worst local effects and sent warriors to help defend nearby Eichenburg. She also preserves stories of dangers associated with the Nascent Expanse, knowledge that took on immediate importance when Pheres was found dead in the mountains with injuries resembling those accounts.
Scylla was especially fond of Xanthos and Therapon while they were growing up. Her stories of past defenders and distant dangers helped shape both young Dragonborn, even though they eventually drew different conclusions about where their duties should lead them.
