Phalygos is a small Dragonborn clan village in the mountains of Auslura. The settlement lies in high country where hunting, knowledge of the surrounding slopes, and familiarity with mountain weather are central to daily life. It is one example of the many relatively isolated communities that persist among Auslura’s interior ranges rather than depending upon a large nearby state.

Phalygos traditionally practices sky burial, exposing the dead rather than interring them in the ground. The village also relies heavily on hunting rather than broad agricultural production. Both customs proved unexpectedly important during the Harrowing of 8753 SE: the settlement was spared some of the catastrophe’s worst local effects, while nearby communities suffered more severely.

Phalygos did not remain isolated from those losses. Warriors from the village traveled to the nearby human settlement of Eichenburg to help defend it against the walking dead during the Harrowing. The episode is remembered locally as an example of the obligations neighboring mountain communities can develop despite differences of ancestry and custom.

As of 8793 SE, Scylla was the village’s eldest and lore keeper. She preserved clan stories, taught younger generations, and reminded established adults of inherited responsibilities when necessary. Xanthos and Therapon were both born and raised in Phalygos, and Pheres was another member of the community.
