The Hercynian Forest is the great woodland that dominates much of the western Drakefire Peninsula in Aesala. It forms one of the peninsula’s principal geographic regions west of the more heavily settled lands associated with Arkrist and the Protectorate of Arkrist.
The forest remains much less extensively documented than Arkrist itself. Its size nevertheless makes it an important part of the peninsula’s geography and one of the major natural features separating the city’s settled sphere from the western side of the peninsula.
