The Aessjorthe Plains are a broad region of northern Patoris best known in recent history for their association with Adamantis Tower. By 8752 SE the ancient College Arcanum tower stood somewhere on the plains under the control of Zhaken Amberheart, who had possessed it long enough that the College no longer exercised ordinary authority over the site.
The Brass Blades traveled to the Aessjorthe Plains while pursuing Zhaken and found Fenro imprisoned within the tower during a ritual intended to attune Zhaken to the Clockwork Heart. They rescued Fenro, but Zhaken completed the attunement and invoked Adamantis’s inherent spatial systems. The entire tower then teleported away from the plains, demonstrating a foundational capability that the modern College had either forgotten or could no longer operate reliably.
The event made the Aessjorthe Plains part of the modern history of the College even though the tower itself no longer remains there. Surviving accounts of the region are much more concerned with Zhaken’s occupation and the disappearance of Adamantis than with any single settlement or state associated with the plains.
