Lucious is closely associated with the College Arcanum and studies the apotheosis of Abendigo. Abendigo’s transformation from mortal gnome to god convinced Lucious that apotheosis is a process that can be studied rather than treated only as an incomprehensible miracle. That interest places him naturally at the intersection of arcane scholarship, divine history, and dangerous questions about the limits of mortal transformation.
During the Arkrist investigations, Lucious worked closely with Magister Heldyssa Shadowfall. Through her he discovered hidden draconic structures beneath College property and encountered the dragon Lyandriegosa, who warned him about the imprisoned shadow dragon Xumanon and marked him with a draconic sigil associated with preserving the prison.
Lucious frequently serves as the Phalanx’s principal arcane investigator. He has studied Starshine, ancient machinery in the Cliffside Temple, the psionic artifacts recovered from the Gulf of Keravnos, and the dwarven systems of Khaz’Vel’Tor.
