Rinfield is a small market town in Scarsholm, northwest of Trinswood and beyond the denser edge of Scarsholm Forest. The road from Trinswood follows a local stream toward Rinfield, emerging gradually from managed woodland into a more open landscape of farms, pasture, hedgerows, and scattered estates.
Rinfield serves the surrounding countryside more than long-distance travelers. Farmers bring grain, livestock, produce, wool, and other rural goods into town for sale or shipment, while smiths, wagonwrights, merchants, and other trades provide services that are difficult to support in every smaller village. Timber and finished lumber from the forest communities to the southeast also pass through the local market, tying Rinfield economically to Trinswood even though the two settlements have different characters.
The center of town is built around a broad market green used for regular trading days, seasonal fairs, public notices, and livestock sales. Storehouses, workshops, inns, and modest civic buildings cluster near the market and the principal road, with houses and cultivated land becoming less dense toward the surrounding farms. The settlement is substantial enough to serve as a local commercial center but remains firmly part of rural Scarsholm rather than a city in its own right.
Like Trinswood, Rinfield falls under the authority of the Lord of Scarsholm, while most ordinary concerns are handled locally according to established Tadrian custom. The rebuilding of the Brass Blades near Trinswood after 8751 SE increased movement of laborers, supplies, ore, and travelers along the road between the two communities, giving Rinfield somewhat more traffic than it had previously received without fundamentally changing its agricultural character.
