Scarsholm Forest is a large managed woodland within the Tadrian region of Scarsholm. It supplies timber and game to surrounding communities and forms the landscape around settlements such as Trinswood. Like many Tadrian forests, it is economically important without being reduced to cleared farmland; logging, hunting, roads, mills, streams, and small cultivated areas exist within a much larger wooded environment.

In the 8750s, Trinswood stood just inside the forest’s edge and depended heavily on a water-powered lumber mill. Roads connected the village east toward Elgaard and northwest toward Rinfield, while smaller farms and orchards occupied the clearings around the settlement. The rebuilt Brass Bastion was established north of Trinswood after the destruction of the Blades’ original headquarters in the capital.

The forest is therefore representative of the practical relationship many northern Tadrian communities have with woodland. Scarsholm is neither an untouched wilderness nor a continuous field of industrial logging; it is a working landscape in which settlement and resource use remain dispersed through dense forest.
