Scarsholm is a landed region of Tadrium associated with Scarsholm Forest and the communities along its roads and waterways. It lies west of Elgaard and forms part of the kingdom’s forested interior, where timber, game, small farms, mills, and local trade support settlements that are much smaller than the capital.
The region is governed within Tadrium’s hereditary noble system by the Lord of Scarsholm. Local administration can be delegated to appointed officials; in the 8750s, for example, the town master of Trinswood held office by appointment of the lord. The exact balance between noble oversight and village custom varies by settlement rather than being administered directly from Elgaard.
Scarsholm became more prominent in the history of the Brass Blades after 8751 SE. Following the destruction of their original Brass Bastion in Elgaard, surviving members regrouped around Trinswood and began rebuilding their organization nearby. Their new mining operation and fortress north of the village added an unusual military presence to an otherwise rural part of Tadrium.
