The Bear Paw Order is one of the eleven monastic orders that govern the Djozanates of the Kenai Mountains. Like the other orders, it exercises religious and political authority within its own sphere of influence while remaining independent of the Leopard Song Order and the other Djozanates.
In 8753 SE, its Djozan, Ip Cham, was captured after traveling to the Twin Dragon Monastery. The Brass Blades rescued him, and the Bear Paw Order subsequently became one of the principal centers of resistance to Dhuulan Havar and the Grand Army of the Djozanates. Bear Paw forces worked with the Eagle Wing Order and the Brass Blades during the campaign that broke Dhuulan’s influence over the Kenai leadership.
