The Twin Dragon Monastery is a hidden monastery in a secluded valley of the central Kenai Mountains. It serves as the principal sanctuary for the secret religious tradition shared by the Djozanates of the Kenai Mountains. Representatives sent by the eleven orders, known as the Keepers of Secrets, maintain the monastery, preserve the rites associated with the tradition, and protect knowledge that is not taught openly elsewhere in the mountains.

At the center of that tradition is an account of the earliest history of Creation. The Djozans possess teachings concerning Eshar, Veshar, and events described in Creation of The Planes with a degree of accuracy unknown among other mortal civilizations. The complete teaching belongs to the Djozans themselves; service as a Keeper of Secrets does not by itself confer all of the knowledge carried by the heads of the orders.

The transmission of that knowledge is inseparable from succession to the office of Djozan. An outgoing Djozan must choose a successor, and the chosen successor must freely accept the appointment before the secret can be passed. An ancient binding covenant governs the transfer, and completion of the transmission causes the outgoing Djozan to die. The Twin Dragon Monastery preserves the religious framework surrounding that covenant even though individual successions need not occur within the monastery itself.

In 8753 SE, Ip Cham, Djozan of the Bear Paw Order, was captured after traveling to the Twin Dragon Monastery during the period of the Grand Army of the Djozanates. He was later rescued by the Brass Blades and joined the resistance against Dhuulan Havar.
