Lochsmald was a small farming community in Tadrium best known as the childhood home of Abendigo. In his youth, Abendigo lived there with his parents, brother, and sister after his family escaped enslavement under House Glannath of Olath Belanore. Their life in Lochsmald was agricultural and comparatively isolated from the political centers that would later shape his life.
That changed when a demon attacked the settlement. The assault devastated Lochsmald and killed members of Abendigo’s family before Rof Riverflame intervened. The event became the central trauma of Abendigo’s mortal life and the reason he began searching for a way to alter the past.
His later study of time, involvement with the Rift Spar, and eventual apotheosis all grew indirectly from that original purpose. Lochsmald consequently appears in histories of Abendigo not because it was a great city or sacred site, but because the destruction of a small rural community set in motion events that eventually created Kor Sirok’s modern god of time.
